The Order of Things is the natural way that the world unfolds, all written down in The Caster Chronicles. For millennia, the Order of Things was set in place, until Lena Claimed herself in Beautiful Darkness and the Order broke. In Beautiful Chaos, the Lilum said that the only way to reforge a New Order would be for the One Who Is Two to sacrifice themselves. A few people were thought to be the One Who Is Two throughout the book -- Sarafine and Abraham thought it was Lena, and John thought it was himself -- but it ended up being Ethan, because of his shattered soul, which happened because he was brought back from the dead too quickly. In the New Order, many things happened, such as the crazy weather going back to normal, the bug population going back to average, and Casters' powers working normally again, but one of the bigger consequences was the Darkborn. The Order of things can be changed if you add a page in The Caster Chronicles, though it has been proven difficult to do that.
